Cranbrook is a unique
eco-tourism attraction located on Jamaica's
north coast at Laughlands in the parish of
St. Ann between the two main tourism and
cruise ship towns of Ohio Rios and Montego
Bay. Situated on 130 acres including 40
acres which are landscaped, it was opened to
the public in May 1997. This multifaceted
property boasts exotic tropical gardens,
lawns, water pools and a tropical rain
forest. If you love nature this is
definitely for you.
While at Cranbrook you
will enjoy Trail Horseback Riding (ride to
the waterfalls or on the lawn and meadows),
Mountain Biking, Botanical Tour, Heritage
Tour (Visit Granny’s House, the Mini Museum
and Taino Village see how the inhabitants of
Jamaica lived) and Pond Fishing for one hour
(rods, lines hooks and baits are provided)
ponds are stocked with Tilapia. If you like
the fish that you catch can be cooked for
you while you enjoy the rest of your tour.
Children and Adults also get to enjoy the
Merry-Go-Round.

The Jungle Trail Hike is
geared for all the nature lovers you will be
at one with nature, as you hike the trail up
into the mountains of Cranbrook all the way
to the river head. While hiking you will see
all different spices of Orchids and other
beautiful flowers that grow in the wild
encounter with a few small animals (rabbits,
goats and cows) watch and listen to all the
different birds as the fly about and chirp
(sing)in the wild.
The river runs alongside
the trail all the way to the top, upon
reaching the river head you will be amaze to
see how the water comes out of the ground
and form the river also at the river head
there is a natural pool that you can take a
swim into and cool yourself off.
The attire for this tour
is shorts and t-shirt with your swim suit
under your clothes that is you decide to
take a swim in the river.
